Metafiction in American Comic Strips (a slideshow)

I was looking for ideas on how to create a page turning experience in some of my posts, and ran across this interesting presentation:

Metafiction in American Comic Strips
(sorry, there's no way to embed it)

Created and © by Jesús Ángel González López, Profesor at Universidad de Cantabria.

I think about storytelling a lot, and in the past couple decades metafiction has become a big aspect (in comics especially) of how narratives are constructed, and how information is presented for processing by readers/viewers/listeners.  This presentation is full of good food for thought.
